Terms of Use

Short, plain, and honest about what tebChart is: an organizing tool you control. It is not your doctor, and it is not a medical record from your hospital.

The short version: tebChart organizes health information you enter or scan. It does not give medical advice and is not a substitute for your care team or for emergency services. Your data is yours and stays on your device. Premium is optional; Apple bills it, and you cancel it in your Apple subscription settings. If something in the app is wrong, check with your doctor or pharmacist — always.

1. Who we are, and what this covers

tebChart is published by TebScribe LLC (“TebScribe”, “we”). These Terms of Use govern your use of the tebChart service and the tebchart.com website. By using tebChart you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy is part of these terms.

How this fits with Apple’s licence. On iPhone, your licence to install and run the app itself is Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement. These Terms of Use sit alongside it and cover our side of the relationship — what tebChart is and is not, what we promise and do not promise, acceptable use, and subscriptions. Where the two differ on the licence to use the app on an Apple device, Apple’s Standard EULA controls. Everything else here applies.

2. tebChart is not medical care

tebChart is a personal organization and communication tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, does not decide how urgent a symptom is, and is not a medical device. It has not been cleared or approved by the FDA or any other regulator. It is not a substitute for your physician, nurse, pharmacist, emergency services, or a professional interpreter.

If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. Never delay seeking care because of something tebChart did or did not show you.

Always verify what tebChart captures against your original paperwork and your care team’s instructions before relying on it for any care decision.

3. Accuracy — what we do not promise

tebChart reads paperwork, labels, and speech using automated tools that can misread, omit, or mis-transcribe. We do not guarantee that scanning, text extraction, import, reminders, alarms, translation, synchronization, Apple Health import, calendar export, PDF export, or shared summaries are complete, timely, or accurate. Reminders and alarms depend on your device, its settings, its battery, and iOS — they can fail, and you should not rely on them as the only safeguard for a critical medication.

4. Your data and your responsibility

You control what you enter, import, export, sync, or share. Exports, PDFs, calendar events, family updates, and registration packets may contain personal health information if you choose to include it — once you share them, they are outside our reach. If you keep records for another person, you are responsible for having the authority to do so and for respecting that person’s privacy.

Your records live on your device. Keep your own backups. We cannot recover your data: we do not have it. Losing or resetting your device, deleting the app, or losing access to your iCloud account can permanently destroy your records.

5. Acceptable use

Use tebChart lawfully and only for personal, non-commercial health organization. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app or our services beyond what applicable law allows; do not use them to store or transmit unlawful content; and do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the tebDictate relay or the website.

6. tebChart Premium and Lifetime

  • Free plan. tebChart is free to use, including one complete patient chart, medications, reminders, appointments, the ER card, and a monthly allowance of scans. Privacy, App Lock, the ER card, and safety features are never behind a paywall.
  • Premium. An auto-renewing subscription that adds unlimited family profiles, unlimited scanning, iCloud sync across your devices, and full backups and exports. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.
  • Lifetime. A one-time purchase of the same Premium features, with no subscription to manage.
  • Billing. All purchases are made through Apple and billed to your Apple Account. An auto-renewing subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours before renewal.
  • Cancelling. Manage or cancel at any time in iPhone Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions › tebChart. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays active until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, subject to Apple’s policies. TebScribe cannot issue App Store refunds.
  • Family Sharing. Where enabled, purchases can be shared with your Apple Family group.
  • Your data is never held hostage. If a subscription lapses, everything you already saved stays on your device and remains readable on the free plan.

7. Changes to the app

We may add, change, or discontinue features, including the free allowances, as the app evolves. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, we will tell you before it takes effect so you can cancel.

8. Intellectual property

tebChart, its name, logo, design, and software are owned by TebScribe LLC and are licensed to you, not sold. You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service. Everything you enter into tebChart remains yours.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, tebChart and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TebScribe LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of tebChart; and our total liability for any claim relating to tebChart will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for tebChart in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Apple

These terms are between you and TebScribe LLC only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for tebChart or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using tebChart at any time by deleting the app, which removes its data from your device (see the data deletion page). We may suspend access to the tebDictate relay or the website if it is being abused or attacked.

12. Governing law and changes to these terms

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at TebScribe LLC’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise. If we change these terms we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
