The tebChart promise
Your records stay on your device.
No account. No health records on TebScribe servers — none, ever. Your records leave your iPhone only through something you turn on yourself: your own iCloud sync, or a file you tap Share on. Everything below is the plain-English version first, then the formal policy. They say the same thing, because there’s nothing to hide.
Privacy Policy
TebScribe LLC · Effective July 24, 2026 · Last updated July 24, 2026 · Applies to the tebChart iOS app, the tebDictate dictation service, and this website.
- tebChart is the iPhone app: your medications, visits, documents, and appointments. It has no account and sends nothing to TebScribe. We operate no server that receives, stores, or processes your health records. Sections 1–7 are about tebChart.
- tebDictate is a separate, free dictation service — a web app at tebchart.com/dictate, a standalone phone app, and a browser extension. It turns a phone into a microphone for a computer, and it does use a TebScribe relay (which only ever handles ciphertext it cannot read) and Google Analytics. Section 8 is about tebDictate.
They do not share data. tebDictate has no access to the tebChart app or anything in it, and the tebChart app does not contact tebDictate. If you use only the tebChart app, section 8 does not apply to you at all. How long anything is kept, and how to delete it, is in section 10.
Part one — the tebChart app
1. Information we collect
None. tebChart has no user accounts, no sign-up, no analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no crash-reporting services operated by us. We do not collect, receive, transmit, sell, rent, or share your medications, visits, documents, scans, appointments, notes, or Apple Health data. There is no TebScribe server that your records are sent to. We cannot see them, and we could not produce them if asked.
The app makes exactly one network request of its own: it asks Apple’s public App Store lookup service (itunes.apple.com) whether a newer version of tebChart is available. That request carries only the app’s own identifier — no personal or health information — and it goes to Apple, not to us.
2. Where your information lives
- On your device. Medications, visits, appointments, documents, scans, and notes you add to tebChart are stored in the app’s private storage on your iPhone, protected by iOS security and, if you enable it, the app’s Face ID / Touch ID App Lock.
- Optionally, in your personal iCloud. If you turn on iCloud sync, supported records sync through your own iCloud account (Apple’s CloudKit private database) under Apple’s terms and security. Apple — not TebScribe — operates that service. We never have access. You can turn sync off at any time.
- Never on TebScribe servers. TebScribe does not store your tebChart records or files on TebScribe servers. There is no tebChart cloud, database, backup service, or backend of ours holding your health information.
3. Camera, photos, and document scanning
When you scan discharge papers, pill bottles, or documents, images are processed with Apple’s on-device text recognition. Scans and extracted text are saved only on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
4. Apple Health
If you choose to import records from Apple Health (including clinical health records), that data is read on-device, only after you grant permission, and is stored with the rest of your chart on your device (and, if you turn on iCloud sync, in your own iCloud alongside it). We do not receive it. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, is never sold, and is never shared with third parties. You can revoke Health access at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › tebChart.
5. Notifications and alarms
Medication reminders, refill alerts, and loud alarms are scheduled locally on your device using Apple’s notification and alarm frameworks. The content of your reminders never leaves your phone, and you control how much detail appears on the lock screen.
6. Sharing you initiate
Features like the ER card, registration packet, and family care updates create text or PDFs that are shared only when you tap Share, only through the iOS share sheet, and only to the people or apps you choose. tebChart does not transmit them anywhere itself, and nothing you share passes through TebScribe.
7. Purchases
tebChart Premium and Lifetime are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment and does not give us your payment details, name, or address. Purchase entitlements are verified on-device through Apple’s StoreKit. See Apple’s privacy policy for how Apple processes purchases.
Part two — tebDictate and this website
8. tebDictate (a separate product, with its own policy)
It is not part of the tebChart app. The tebChart iPhone app does not include tebDictate, does not contact the dictation relay, and shares no data with it. tebDictate, in turn, has no access to your tebChart records. If you use only tebChart, nothing about tebDictate applies to you.
What it is. tebDictate is a separate dictation tool that turns a phone into a microphone for a computer you are sitting at. It comes in three forms: the web app at tebchart.com/dictate, a standalone tebDictate phone app, and a browser extension.
Where its policy lives. Because tebDictate is its own product, it has its own privacy policy and its own support page:
- tebdictate.com/privacy.html — how tebDictate handles speech, what its relay can and cannot see, and how long anything is kept
- tebdictate.com/support.html — help and contact
9. This website, and who processes data for us
The tebChart pages — the home page, support, terms, the Android page, the checklist, the data deletion page, and this policy — are a static website. They set no cookies, run no analytics or advertising trackers, and contain no forms that submit data to us.
The tebDictate pages at tebchart.com/dictate are different. They use Google Analytics so we can understand how many people use the tool, what kind of device they use, and roughly where they find it. They set Google Analytics cookies and send Google the address of the page you are on (with secrets removed — see below), the website that referred you, approximate location derived from your IP address, and basic device and browser information. Google processes this as our analytics provider under its own terms, and we may use it to measure and target advertising for the tool.
What is never sent to Google, or to us:
- Anything you dictate. Your speech is recognized on your own phone and encrypted before it is relayed. The words are unreadable to us and are never sent to any analytics service.
- Your pairing secrets. The QR link carries a session token and encryption keys in the part of the
address after the
#. Browsers never send that part to a web server, and we deliberately strip it before anything reaches Google, so it cannot leak through analytics. - Your tebChart health records. tebDictate has no access to the tebChart app or its data.
You can opt out with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser. tebDictate works exactly the same either way — we do not gate any feature on analytics.
The service providers we use, and what each one gets. Note which product each one serves — none of them processes data from the tebChart app except Apple:
- Amazon Web Services (this website and tebDictate only — not the tebChart app) — hosting. Receives standard, short-lived technical server logs (such as IP addresses) needed to deliver the service and protect it from abuse, and the encrypted tebDictate traffic it cannot read. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors.
- Google Analytics (tebDictate pages only) — usage measurement, as described above.
- Google Fonts (this website only) — serves the typefaces on these pages and receives the standard technical request information needed to deliver the font files.
- Apple (the tebChart app) — the App Store (purchases and update checks) and, if you turn it on, your personal iCloud sync. Apple acts under its own privacy policy, not ours, and we have no access to what it holds for you.
Each of these providers is contractually required to protect the data it processes for us to a standard at least equal to this policy, and none of them is permitted to sell it. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone, and we do not use any of it to train machine-learning models.
Part three — your rights, and the fine print
10. Keeping, deleting, and withdrawing consent
There is no account to delete — neither tebChart nor tebDictate creates one, so there is nothing for us to hold in your name and no account-deletion request to make. Deletion is entirely in your hands:
- Individual tebChart records: delete a medication, visit, document, or appointment inside the app and it is gone from your device immediately.
- Everything at once: delete the tebChart app from your iPhone. iOS removes the app’s entire private storage, including all scans and documents.
- iCloud copies: if you turned on sync, also turn sync off in tebChart, then remove tebChart data from iCloud in iOS Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.
- Copies you exported: backups, PDFs, and shared updates you saved or sent are yours to delete wherever you put them; we have no copy and no way to reach them.
- tebDictate sessions: see section 8 — sessions expire, and we hold no readable content. If you have never used tebDictate, there is nothing of yours on that relay at all.
- Website analytics: Google Analytics data collected on the tebDictate pages is deleted automatically at the end of the retention period set on our Google Analytics property, and we keep no separate copy. You can withdraw consent at any time using Google’s opt-out add-on or by clearing and blocking analytics cookies.
- Server logs: our hosting provider’s technical logs are short-lived and are not used to build a profile of you.
Step-by-step instructions are on our data deletion page. If you would like us to confirm what we hold about you, or to ask us to delete something, email privacy@tebscribe.com and we will answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to its processing; we honor those requests regardless of where you live, and we will never charge you or deny you service for exercising them.
11. Children
tebChart is intended for adults managing their own or a family member’s health information and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email privacy@tebscribe.com and we will delete it.
12. What tebChart is not
tebChart is an organizational tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, it does not diagnose or decide urgency, and it is not a substitute for your care team, emergency services, or a professional interpreter. tebChart is not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate; it is a personal record-keeping tool under your control. It is not a medical device and has not been cleared or approved by any regulator.
13. Changes to this policy
If we ever change how tebChart handles data — for example, adding an optional feature that involves a server — we will update this policy and its effective date, change the app’s App Store privacy label if needed, and ask for your consent inside the app before anything new happens. The default will always be: your records stay yours.
